History
First Baptist Church of Woodbridge, NJ was established in 1909 when a small group of faithful Black families gathered to study God's Word and worship together, becoming the first Black church in the Woodbridge community. From those humble beginnings, God has faithfully sustained and guided this congregation through generations of worship, service, and ministry. Through dedicated pastors and committed members, our church has remained rooted in the preaching of the Gospel, Christian fellowship, and service to our community. Today we celebrate our rich legacy while continuing to walk boldly in faith, proclaiming the love of Jesus Christ and building a foundation of hope for generations to come.
